Recently, Year 9 student Arquette Milin-Byrne was selected to represent our school at the annual NSW Youth Parliament.
As the Member for North Shore and Environment Minister, Arquette reported that she had a wonderful experience debating current issues with students from across the state in a parliamentary setting. Following the debates, and at the presentations at the end of the program, she was recognised for her achievements by being named as the best speaker of the government. Another highlight for Arquette was the generous amount of time that The Hon. Jillian Skinner MP, Member for North Shore spent with her speaking about current local issues and the life of a parliamentarian.
