Application and entry into Year 8 - 11 at NBSC Manly Campus

Students seeking enrolment into Year 8 to Year 11 are coordinated through the school, but they must also sit for the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER), higher ability selection test. This test is usually conducted at the school on a Saturday in August. Outcome advice is sent to applicants in October / November. 

It must be noted that there are only limited places that become available in Year 8 to Year 11 each year.

Applications for Year 8 to Year 11 2021 - closed. 

Applications for Year 8 to 11 2022

Applications for Year 8 to Year 11 2022 will open on 21 June 2021 and close on 16 July 2021.

The application form will be available to download from the Department of Education high performance unit website. Applications for placement into these years must have been made on the Selective Schools form and submitted to the school by the closing date with the application fee.

Application fee - payable by credit card or cheque payable to NBSC Manly Campus. The application fee must be paid to NBSC Manly Campus when the application is submitted.

Applications with NBSC Manly Campus listed as 1st preference require a $100 application fee.

Please note; Applications need to be delivered in person or sent via post. Email applications will not be accepted.

If your first or second preference is one of the following schools: Baulkham Hills High, Caringbah High, Fort Street High (Y11), Girraween High, Gosford High, Hornsby Girls, North Sydney Girls and St George Girls, a $50 application fee is required when NBSC Manly Campus is listed as 2nd or 3rd preference.

All applications will be acknowledged in writing by the school.

Year 8, 9, 10 and 11 applicants must sit for the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER), Higher Ability Selection Test which is held at the school, on Saturday 7 August - with outcomes being notified in October / November.
