Wellbeing Programs Stage 4 and 5

Backflips Against Bullying

Incursion where presenters explore topics of Power Dynamics and Resilience, Cyber Bullying, Physical, Verbal and Social Harassment, Real World Consequences and Targeted and Repeated Harassment

Raise Program 

One on one mentoring program with selected students in either year 8 or 9 which focuses on resilience, seeking help, and a sense of belonging.

Tomorrow Man and Woman

Tomorrow Man session offers students to have an open conversation about the state of masculinity today, providing a deeper opportunity for connectedness with friends and peers. Tomorrow Woman-explores current topics and issues such as gender stereotypes, internal & external pressures & pop culture topics like pornography, social media, beauty expectations, relationships and self-talk.

Camps

Manly students participate in camps in year 7 and 9. Activities provide opportunities to build connections and friendship, strengthen resilience and coping strategies.

Wellbeing Programs Stage 6

Life Ready Program

During senior schooling, each student is required to complete a number of courses as part of the Life Ready program. Life Ready is a mandatory 25-hour course designed to prepare and support senior students as they encounter situations related to health and safety as they become more independent and gain more responsibilities. It focuses on offering opportunities for students to build the functional knowledge and skills for life post school. Life Ready aims to build students’ sense of empowerment and respect for themselves and others. Life Ready includes 6 learning contexts.

Part of our Life Ready program includes incursions and excursions for Ryda and SafeT360, GPs in School and IDEA and Brent Sanders

Mentoring Program

Year 12 students select year 12 mentor teachers to assist in the navigation of the Higher School Certificate. Topics which may be covered include goal setting, study stresses,  problem solving and building confidence.
