Results from the national UNSW HSIE competitions have ranked our Year 10 cohort second nation-wide.
Following our outstanding results in the UNSW history competition, we have received the results of the Australian Geography Competition completed in Term 2. Six students were placed in the top 1% of their year level across the nation: Josh Farr, Morris Chen, Nathan Hukins and Tatiana Balandina in Year 8, as well as Hana McMahon and Marcus Kaldor in Year 10. In addition, we had 19% of students achieving a High Distinction and a further 27% receiving a Distinction which is a fantastic overall performance.
We would like to congratulate the following students for their outstanding results in the Economics and Business Studies Competition. Robert Cantwell was placed in the top 1% of the competition and received a monetary award. Zane O'Neill and Alex Molchanoff were both placed in the top 2% of all entrants and are recipients of a monetary prize from UNSW for their efforts. Our congratulations to all these boys for their outstanding results.
