In the latter part of term 4 Year 10 students were involved in either ABW or Work Experience.
Thirty-five students choose to participate in the week long ABW program, which was run at Freshwater Campus. Our students worked in teams combining with students from Cromer, Balgowlah and Mackellar Campuses.
The teams formed themselves into a company which ran a Consumer Electronics store selling computers, flat screen televisions and accessories. Team members took on rolls such as CEO, managers of finance, human resources, marketing and IT. Throughout the week, each team was also allocated a teacher and a Business Mentor who assisted in decision making such as determining staff levels and training, setting salaries and incentives and promoting the business via advertising, promotions and special offers.
The week ended on a high note with company trade displays in MSC hall and a series of presentations by company representatives in the Freshwater Theatre. The feedback has been extremely positive. Congratulations to all Year 10 students involved in ABW.
