Well done to year 10 student Rupert Canning who recently won the People's Choice Award in the 24/7 Youth Film Festival over the holidays for his film Floral Carnage. 

The festival is a joint venture between Mosman, Manly, Warringah and Pittwater Councils and contestants had to make a 7 minute film in a 24 hour period using items, phrases and locations given out at the beginning of the festival time period. The finals night involved a showing of the films at Warriewood Cinema. Not surprisingly, Rupert was also named as the Best Male Actor in the Under 18 category as he played nearly all the characters in his film, including appearing in the one scene as two different people!

This is a wonderful achievement and we hope that Rupert can possibly replicate this at the MSC Short Film Festival in 2016.
