Cadets graduate

Our second group of SES Cadets has graduated after the successful completion of their 10 week training program. 

Throughout the program students learned a range of skills including rescue technique, radio communication, first aid, team building and floodwater diversion. Many students participate in this program to further enhance their Duke of Edinburgh Award program and others complete it because of their wish to participate further in SES programs. Whatever the motivation, this is a wonderful program from which students learn so much.

At the presentation, our students were complimented highly for their commitment, enthusiasm and dedication to the SES program. Special mention must be made of the program's coordinator within the school, Ms Naomi Leviton, herself a member of the Manly SES, and the team of volunteers from the Unit who generously their time to ensure this program could run for our students.
