Year 7 cross campus project

Equality was the theme for a group of approximately 15 Year 7 students who spent a week working closely with Ms Hewes and Ms O'Sullivan in researching and preparing their presentation. This project is part of the Northern Beaches Secondary College year 7 Gifted and Talented Students program.

Our students have been guided through a Project Based Learning model to develop of their skills, knowledge acquisition and final presentations by both Ms Hewes and Ms O'Sullivan. Students were required to enquire into the origins and concept of equality, some of the historical and contemporary examples of equality and inequality, and then to investigate examples of ongoing inequality that fuels their passion for change. Presentations ranging from slideshows to stop animation videos and websites were viewed at the school and judged to select our teams to present at the College showcase at the end of term.
